A workshop on sharing stories of the green “Belt and Road” was held in Beijing on May 26-27.

Jointly building a green "Belt and Road" is a major move to actively respond to climate change and safeguard global ecological security. It is also an important approach to advancing high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and building a community of life for man and nature. In the past decade, through integrating the concept of green development into every aspect of Belt and Road cooperation, China has not only opened up new space and built new platforms for global economic growth, but also provided Chinese solutions for global ecological and environmental governance.

Practices of jointly building a green "Belt and Road", while bringing tangible benefits people in partner countries, also provide touching stories that deserve to be widely known. The workshop organized discussions on how to share the practices and experience of China in green development to more effectively promote the progress and achievements of the construction of a green "Belt and Road" in international communication. The workshop especially emphasized the responsibility of businesses in promoting the building of a green "Belt and Road" and ecological cooperation. It was stressed that the media and businesses should make full use of their respective resources to share the philosophy, concepts and stories of the green BRI in a vivid and effective way to showcase China's responsible practices in global ecological civilization construction.

Participants of the workshop said that they will take the workshop as an opportunity to extensively promote Ecological Civilization, further improve capacity for international communication, share practices and cases of green development and showcase the sense of responsibility and achievements of Chinese enterprises in an all-round way.

The workshop was jointly held by BRI International Green Development Coalition (BRIGC) and China Forum of Environmental Journalist (CFEJ). Over 100 journalists and representatives of businesses participating in the "Belt and Road" cooperation attended the workshop.
